Me & My Models

Me & My Models shows a diverse range of photographs taken in the period between 2010 and 2012. This work put the relationship between photographer and model, and the ethics involved, at the centre. The video unfolds the stories which are adherent to the photographs. The shoots all have in common that they didn't meet the expectations of either the subject or photographer. For instance the photographer just wanted to become friends with the model, while the model hopes that it would the start of a glamorous model fashion carreer.

The work with which I graduated in 2012 from Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam is exemplary of my practice as an artist; centralizing interpersonal relations between artist and subject and the ethics involved.
